TEKLA

XSteel adalah suatu program yang didevelop oleh Tekla Corps, yang diperuntukan pekerjaan steel detailing. Pekerjaan ini sebelumnya dilakukan dengan program CAD secara manual yang tentunya harus dilakukan proses checking terlebih dahulu, dan membutuhkan waktu cukup lama, dikarenakan CAD tidak dapat menvisualisaikan struktur secara 3D. Tetapi dengan menggunakan program Tekla-struktur (former XSteel) maka masalah tersebut dapat dipecahkan/diselesaikan.

Beberapa keuntungan dalam menggunakan Tekla-Structure adalah sebagai berikut :
Proses visualisasi struktur secara 3D dapat dilakukan, sehingga dapat menghindari kesalahan yang seharusnya tidak perlu. Dapat mempercepat pekerjaan detailing dan mereduksi kesalahan. Otomatisasi dari marking sehingga dapat mereduksi kesalahan gambar. Dapat membuat valid report dan MTO (seperti part list, assembly list) yang berguna bagi estimasi dan pembelian material. Untuk fabrikator yang mempunyai cnc mesin, dapat menggunakan feature XSteel dalam membuat nesting plate sehingga mereduksi scrap material.

ANSYS

OBJECTIVE

Sebelum software simulasi diciptakan, engineer menggunakan hitungan teknik dalam perancangan suatu alat. Kelemahannya enggineer tidak pernah mengetahui perkiraan kegagalan dari alat yang dirancangnya.

Dengan menggunakan Ansys bagaimana gaya, tegangan dan stress yang terjadi dapat dilihat dengan simulasi serta potensi kegagalan dari alat yang dirancang dapat diprediksi, hal ini dapat dilihat dari simulasi yang memberikan gambaran distribusi tegangan yang berlebih pada titik tertentu ketika ada load bekerja. Kalkulasi pada software ini meliputi bahan dari material, dimensi/ bentuk dan load kerja.
